Apartments in MidTown Columbus, GA

Everything You Want, All in One Place

MidTown is centrally located in the Columbus area and has a sense of place, rooted in rich history. It's stories, distinctive places, and people past and present who contribute to its character. The MidTown character can be seen in its distinctive and diverse architecture, art, parks, galleries, neighborhoods and businesses.

It may only take up six square miles, but the MidTown neighborhood of Columbus has everything you could ever need -- or want!

Here's what you'll get to experience if you rent an apartment in MidTown:

- Easy access to I-185

I-185 is actually the eastern boundary of MidTown, so if you need to head south to Ft. Benning, make a quick trip north to the Peachtree Mall, or you want to head even further north and link up with I-85, you'll have an easy way to do it.

- Lots of job opportunities

Your MidTown apartment will only be a short walk from Aflac's international headquarters. Clear Channel, Sun Trust, and Wells Fargo also have facilities here, in addition to the dozens of local businesses and non-profits who are housed here. Between its central location and its unique charm, so many businesses want to be here that you shouldn't have any trouble finding a great job!

- A wealth of history

MidTown is made up of six different districts that are all listed on the National Register of Historic Places. You'll see everything from tree-lined streets that have been around since before the Civil War, to houses that have a unique 1940's architectural style. Even the local Burger King sits in a Tudor home that was built in the 1920's!

- Lots of green space

The tree-lined streets aren't the only influence that Mother Nature has here. No matter what part of MidTown your apartment sits in, you'll be close to parks -- like Lakebottom Park, Veterans Memorial Park, and the Leonora Sarling Fountain.

- One-of-a-kind shopping

Whether you like thrift store bargains, upscale boutiques, or fine art, you'll find it all on sale in MidTown. Many of the retail centers in MidTown have been renovated in recent years, so you'll get modern conveniences with a historical twist.

- Unique dining choices

Whether you want comfort food or upscale cuisine, you'll find it close to your MidTown apartment!

Ask the locals, and the vast majority will tell you that their favorite place in MidTown is Dinglewood Pharmacy. It's the oldest eating establishment in all of Columbus, and it's famous for its historic soda fountain, its chili, and its "scrambled dogs".

For something a little different, try the Cajun and seafood at Henry's. The food here tastes just like what you'd eat in New Orleans -- complete with jambalaya, gumbo, and crawfish.

Of course, this wouldn't be Georgia without some great barbecue! MidTown locals love both Country's Barbecue and the Smokey Pig.

        Little League at Lakebottom Park

Beautiful southern homes with large porches that over look Weracoba Park/ Lakebootm Park. This park is filled with energy children laughing at the playground,  the cheer of a baseball, basket ball,  tennis, joggers, walkers,  runners  utilize the track of walking trail and concerts in the evening after the sun goes down. Large hundred year old trees shade us from the blazing summer sun. This area of town is known for its two hundred  year architectural history. It's home of the AFLAC world head quarters and yes, the duck is on the side of the sky scraper.
