Apartments in Uptown Columbus -- A Trendy Neighborhood That Will Never Go Out of Style

The locals call it "Uptown", and in this neighborhood you'll feel anything BUT down because there's so much to do and see here!

Uptown Columbus is located in the city's downtown area. Most of the government and commercial development has taken place between 10th Street and 1st Avenue, on the eastern side of downtown, with apartments, restaurants, bars, and stores popping up even closer to the Chattahoochee River.

Here's what you can expect if you rent an apartment in Uptown Columbus:

- More food and drinks than you can imagine

This may be the trendiest part of Columbus, but that doesn't mean you can't get some down home cooking here! For example, Minnie's Uptown Restaurant serves fried chicken and other Southern goodies cafeteria style. And, Plucked Up is a popular breakfast place, with people feasting on chicken and biscuits instead of "fancy" foods.

But if you want a gourmet meal, there are certainly plenty to choose from! The locals love Epic Restaurant because the food lives up to the name, and they're also big fans of the cuisine at Meritage. The locals also love hanging out at Belloo's Martini and Cigar Bar because it offers a more sophisticated vibe than other places in town.

- Big-name businesses

If you rent an apartment in Uptown Columbus, you'll have a great view of some of the biggest names on the planet. That's because the skyline has names like Aflac, Sun Trust, and Marriott on it. There are a number of Fortune 500 companies who call Uptown home, but there are also lots of locally-owned and small startup businesses here, too. So, if you're looking for a professional job -- or looking for a place to start your own business -- Uptown is a great choice!

- A great local shopping experience

There are plenty of places to give your credit card a workout, but the people who live in Uptown Columbus really love the Market Days. Every Saturday morning from April to November, three blocks on Broadway become a haven for local produce, baked goods, handmade jewelry, and home goods. And, some of the local animal rescue groups set up their own booths in the median so that you can find your furry best friend -- or simply donate a few bucks to a great cause.

- An adrenaline rush

Living in an Uptown apartment is great because you're never far from the Chattahoochee River, but if you want to do more than just look at the water, you're in luck! You can go kayaking, whitewater rafting, or even zip line over the river. It's an incredible rush, and it's a great view… You can't do any better than that!

Today it's the back drop wedding photos, family ruinous we also fish, water ski,  jet ski, boating, kayaking in it and the largest urban whitewater rafting in the world.

Columbus is nicknamed the fountain city, water fountains can be found throughout the Uptown area and throughout the city of Columbus. The brick paved historic streets from the 1800's are still used today. Historic markers coved the area and remind us of days gone by.
